Space Coast Suncatcher Chain

Handmade stained glass hanging inspired by everything I love most about Florida’s Space Coast.

This chain of three connected suncatchers features a surfboard made from shimmering iridescent purple glass with a whale eye shell, a graceful ray crafted from soft pink glass with a calico scallop shell, and a gentle manatee made from glowing purple iridescent glass. Together, they capture the feeling of life along the coast perfectly—surf culture, marine life, shell collecting, warm water, and slow sunny days near the ocean.

Each piece is individually hand-drawn and handcrafted, making every suncatcher completely one of a kind—no two stained glass pieces are ever exactly the same. The iridescent glass catches the sunlight beautifully throughout the day, while the natural shells add texture and a real connection to Florida’s shoreline.

Whale eye shells (Neverita duplicata) are smooth, rounded shells known for their soft spiral shape and polished appearance. Calico scallops (Argopecten gibbus) are famous for their beautiful natural patterns and bright coloration, often found in Florida waters and along the Gulf Coast.

All together, these pieces feel like a little snapshot of the Space Coast to me—the mix of ocean wildlife, beach treasures, colorful sunsets, and the laid-back feeling that keeps drawing me back to the water.
